We were not planning on going away this year as we had been doing a lot of work on the house and because of the global credit crunch etc etc bla bla bla. Then a cunning plan was hatched around the final World Super Bike race of the year at Portimao in the Algarve.

The plan is to take the ferry from Newcastle to Ijmuiden (near Amsterdam) and then head south via the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg into France. Then continue south to Barcelona, across Spain to the Algarve. Then we will head north back in to Spain and up the west coast of France before cutting across to the chanel tunnel and home.
